Valet Supervisor
The Valet Supervisor serves as a supporting role to the Valet Manager and/or Guest Services Manager. He/She will oversee daily operations of the valet department, provide leadership, and direction for the valet associates in the most efficient and effective manner possible, while maintaining the company’s expected high quality standards. The Valet Supervisor will address customer service needs; perform safety inspections and maintain Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), including the new Global Harmonized System for chemicals (GHS), regulations.

Essential Job Functions
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Support the valet leadership department with the daily operations: Assist the valet leadership with daily operations of the valet department. Provide direction and supervision of the valet associates.
Ensure your area of responsibility meets all company and compliance standards. Demonstrate and apply broad knowledge of concepts, practices, and procedures for managed work group(s) and how it supports related operations. Respond appropriately to guest inquiries and concerns to ensure total guest satisfaction. Handle guest issues to resolution in effort to improve the guest experience and escalate any outstanding guest inquiry or concern that may require additional monitoring or follow-up, to management. Make appropriate service recovery recommendations. (30% time)
- Maintain positive customer relationships: Assist guests with loading/unloading luggage into and out of their vehicles. Track guest vehicles and keys. Routinely inspect all physical property (driveways, parking area, signage, luggage carts, and equipment) and maintain according to company and guest’s high quality standards. Provide information related to resort amenities, features, special functions and
local attractions, dining, entertainment, and directions to guest upon request. Coordinate transportation needs for owners and guests. Ensure that main entrance, lobby, and porte-cochere are clean and free of trash or other debris. (30% time)

Embrace and exhibit the highest level of ethics and integrity consistent with company standards. Demonstrate an ability to motivate and communicate expectations with humility. Promote team work and quality service through daily communications and coordination with other departments. (25% time)
- Ensure compliance with: Internal Audit, Quality Assurance, Loss Prevention, Resort Operating Procedures, Guest Service Department Operating Procedure, and
Standard Operating Procedures. (10% time)
- Performs other duties as needed. (5% time)

Minimum Requirements and Qualifications
a) Education
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must have a valid driver’s license in the state you are applying with a proven clean driving record
- Driving experience in all types of passenger vehicles including manual shift.

- N/A
c) Knowledge and skills
- Parking management experience, specifically valet.
- Demonstrated ability to work under pressure
- Ability to communicate effectively with employees, guests and owners
- Ability to demonstrate good judgment when dealing with guests and staff members
- Ability to multi-task and work in a fast paced environment
- Ability to complete basic reporting and paperwork in a timely manner

Ability to supervise, teach/train, coach and counsel assigned valets
- Ability to maintain a calm demeanor in sometimes difficult/ fast paced situations
- Ability to act independently and make decisions according to company policy
- Ability to ensure valet staff provides exceptional customer service and maintains safe vehicle handling
- Ability to handle arriving/departing guests’ luggage, for storage and/or delivery via cart to/from designated units at the property
d) Technical Skills
- Must be able to drive both manual and automatic transmission vehicles
- Must know current motor vehicle laws
e) Job experience
- One year of supervisory experience
- One year of related work experience
- Current DL in good standings
