Job Summary

The Sr Analyst, Compensation located in Orlando, Florida will be responsible for design and creation of corporate and field Sales & Marketing incentive plans, as well as the loading of those plans to the payroll system with a critical focus on details and accuracy. The Sr Analyst, Compensation will also be involved in creating and managing models and tools used for compensation design and development focused on consistent data, incentive plan structure and payout performance.

The Sr Analyst, Compensation will also contribute to the design and execution of broad-based compensation programs, including job benchmarking, salary survey participation, salary structure updating and development, and participating in the annual merit planning cycle.

Essential Job Responsibilities

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Sales & Marketing Compensation (50% of time)

Works with Manager, Compensation to design and implement changes to existing compensation models to ensure plan performance is aligned with organization goals Acts as subject matter expert for Operations and Sales and Marketing teams, on compensation data, design and calculations Creates various reports and analyses on performance of current plans, and utilizing advanced data modeling techniques makes recommendations for plan changes and future plan design Partners with Payroll in ensuring compensation plans and design work within the payroll system, and assist in change process when business needs require payroll system enhancements Provides system support by maintaining and updating the Sales and Marketing Compensation dashboard, building and updating various reports in the Sales and Marketing Compensation system, and interfacing with the IT organization to ensure smooth continual operations and system updates.

Broad-Based Compensation (50% of time)

Conducts compensation analyses and market studies for jobs throughout the organization, by analyzing internal and external job data and providing guidance on salary ranges and leveling. Facilitates the salary survey process and conducts analyses of compensation survey responses to ensure compensation remains competitive to attract, retain, and motivate employees. Participates in the annual merit planning process, providing program and system support to HR and international Compensation teams during planning process, assisting with the development and distribution of communication materials and training, generating reporting and analyzing merit awards vs budgets, compensation equity, etc. Coordinates annual salary structure review process, including participating in various external salary benchmarking surveys, generating market analyses, and building recommendation for job grade movement and structure adjustments Performs other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements and Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Human Resources, Finance, Business, Information Technology or related field. MBA, MHR, or related advanced degree is desired.

Training requirements

  • WorldAtWork Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) designation preferred

Knowledge and skills

  • Ability to conduct research, analyze information and data and present findings in a concise format
  • Effectively communicate both in writing and verbally with all levels of leadership to achieve organizational goals
  • Strong attention to detail including ability to anticipate data-related questions
  • Ability to keep sensitive human resources and compensation information highly confidential
  • Understanding of Accounting principles
  • Excellent strategic, analytical and creative thinking aptitude in both an independent and team environment.

Technical Skills

  • Microsoft Excel – Expert User
  • CallidusCloud Commissions (SAP Commissions) – Design and Admin Experience
  • Crystal Reports
  • SQL
  • Workday HCM and Advanced Compensation
  • Willis Towers Watson Reward Compensation Analytics Tool or similar market pricing platform

Job experience

  • Minimum five years HR/Compensation experience
  • Minimum two years sales and incentive compensation experience
  • Minimum two years functional systems administration/implementation experience
