The right candidate:

  • Must be willing to relocate to Williamsburg, VA.
  • Must have the ability to lead a team, build strategic business partnerships, influence, and manage change.
  • Must be able to travel throughout the Northeast Business Unit as needed.
  • Must be able to travel to Orlando and other areas for corporate meetings.
  • Must have the ability to communicate and partner with the Business Unit leadership team including the EVP, SVP of marketing, RSVP, AVP, Site VP, Site DOS, BU Director of Recruiting and Business Operations.
  • Must attend required meetings and conference calls.
  • Will collaborate with the VP and Sr. Director of Training as well as BU Trainers on special projects, promotions, corporate initiatives and sharing best practices.
  • Will take the lead on all training agendas for the Northeast region including the roll out of new sales initiatives and processes confirming the delivery of all approved scripting and compliance as requested.
  • Possess the ability to identify opportunities relating to, but not limited to, the training department, sales lines (in house and front line), specialist presenters, sales processes with a desired follow through to affect and implement positive change.
  • Assist the Director of Training to keep all training positions staffed with top talent.
  • The right candidate will have a proven leadership track record.  This can include any of but not limited to, front line or in house sales manager, site trainer, Sr. manager, DOS or VP experience.
  • Support and manage the Specialist Presenter team training and compliance.
  • Obtain a strong working knowledge of Wyndham Destinations brands, Club Wyndham, Wordmark by Wyndham and Shell Vacation Club.

Training Responsibilities:

  • Consistent communication and inspection of the job requirements for trainers and presenters.
  • Measure performance, provide coaching and development.
  • Be held accountable to 30/60/90 day new hire results, T.O requirement, red line expectations and topical trainings to be conducted on a consistent basis.
  • Observe specialist presentations, coach and measure budgeted vpg expectation. Ensure all sites trainers and presenters are IPad ready and adopting to compliant sales scripting and current processes.
  • Consistent communication with your BU Director of Training/BU Director of Recruiting, recruiting manager, site and regional leaders concerning staffing and retention.
  • On board new trainers to the region if needed. Wyndham Destination’s “Play to Win” new hire training curriculum is delivered using the IPad as well as the approved scripting via on-site and/or virtually.
  • Ensuring Wyndham Destinations “Road to Success” 12 week follow up training is being delivered to new hires on a consistent basis either on site or facilitated virtually.
  • Ensure all new hires complete the online portion of the Road to Success modules.
  • Ensure site sales staff are up to date on all recently approved Wyndham Destinations, scripting, collateral and sales processes on all brands.
  • Ensure all trainers are following, observing and supporting new hire classes to the floor, partnering with sales managers to set team up for success. Trainers are responsible for new hires being at 100% of budgeted VPG at 90 days.
  • Continue to provide training on a variety of topics to all sales staff on a regular basis.
  • Ability to stay updated and current with required tech platforms and reporting. Participate in launching new sales training initiatives and delivering required adoption requirements.
