Social Media Manager

We are looking to welcome a new member to the Wyndham Destinations social media team. They will be responsible for all social media aspects for some of the brands under Wyndham Destinations — strategizing, building campaigns, planning content, reporting on trends, insights and analytics, as well as social listening and channel moderation across branded and non-branded channels. This role will drive revenue and generate leads through social media activations, using compelling ads and well-thought-out target audiences.

A successful candidate must be professional in manner and demeanor, detail-oriented and enjoy working in a team environment. At Wyndham Destinations, we believe in putting the world on vacation, so a passion for travel and commitment to service will be a perfect fit. Deep knowledge of social media strategy, platforms and content development, including editorial calendars, content plans, and reporting are a must. This job will be located at the Wyndham Destinations’ global headquarters in Orlando, FL.  (This position will be remote while the Wyndham Destinations office remains closed for COVID-19 safety measures)

Essential Job Functions

  • Provide full social media solutions to support the Extra Holidays business objectives and generate over 9K bookings through social and resort listings bringing in over $4M in revenue.  
  • Manage a media budget of $200K annually.
  • Develop content and manage the Extra Holidays social media channels including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest and YouTube.
  • Plan and execute paid and organic social campaigns to support marketing activations and goals set up by business partners.
  • Build and maintain content calendar and plans based on inventory and market needs.
  • Draft creative briefs and works with the Brand team and/or agencies to produce branded content.
  • Develop and execute Social Media influencer strategy — coordinate trips and content creation to spotlight our brands, services, portfolio of resorts and destinations.
  • Track and report (weekly, monthly and ad hoc) on social media trends, insights and campaign performance to influence strategies.
  • Serve as the main liaison between business listings and Wyndham Destinations. Ensure listings information is current and monthly reporting for resorts is set up.
  • Support other projects as assigned.

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor of Science / Arts degree in Marketing, Business Administration or Communications.

Knowledge and skills

  • In-depth knowledge and understanding of social media, networking platforms and digital marketing.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and in writing.
  • Ability to develop and implement projects and programs through ongoing teamwork 
  • Self-starter with an interest in exploring new ways to drive activation and engagement using different tools and techniques in the online world.
  • Must be highly organized with the ability to efficiently monitor multiple project deadlines. 
  • Must be able to report out performance KPIs, assess results and define recommendations and insights.
  • Experience with web analytic platforms such as Google Analytics.
  • Experience with CRM/Data segmentation & targeting.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with team members
  • Ability to build and leverage a strong network of peers and business and social media partners
  • Ability to think critically and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to identify potential issues and resolve them before they impact production timelines
  • Exceptional customer service / “happy to help” attitude
  • Desire and willingness to continuously learn

Technical Skills

  • Requires strong understanding of digital and web technologies such as social marketing applications, email/marketing automations, and community/mobile solutions.
  • Deep understanding of Social Media platforms, capabilities and social media management tools 
  • Ability to establish measurements and success metrics where none currently exist
  • Experience with Sprinklr, Sprout or equivalent social listening, moderation and publishing tools.

Job experience

  • 5-7 years of experience in brand management, communications & firm level marketing, digital platforms and social media; public company experience preferred
  • Experience implementing and managing social media strategies and ensuring adoption across stakeholders/business, required.
  • Experience with Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Pinterest, Instagram, Snapchat, required. As well as platform specific ad tools.
  • Experience in analyzing content and campaign data for optimization and reporting, required.
  • Experience in community moderation, social listening and building workflows, required. 
  • Experience in brand marketing, hospitality servicing, business to consumer marketing, and/or field marketing, preferred.
  • Experience with social listening and reporting tool such as Sprinklr, preferred. 

Travel Requirements:

  • This position requires up to 10% travel
