The Business Operations Manager is responsible for regional support of the sales and marketing operations with a focus on driving the implementation of programs, initiatives and process improvements to field partners while delivering high level quality support for all Sales and Marketing locations. This position will support the Business Operations teams in the field by identifying, developing strategies, and implementing business processes to drive standardization, reduce risk, and optimize operations. The Business Operations Manager is responsible for consulting in and driving company-wide initiatives creating training, communication, SOPs, and successfully rolling out processes to the field in the 150+ sales and marketing locations across North America.

The Business Operations Manager will work closely with internal and external business partners to build processes through analysis, development, system support, branding, training, communication, and the overall process adoption. The Business Operations Manager will demonstrate support by completing the following duties, up to, but not limited to: leading projects, executing strategies, facilitating clear communication, adoption of changes or initiatives, trend analysis and solution development and execution as well as providing additional support to support Marketing, Sales, and Operations.

Essential Job Functions

Regional Support
  • Responsible for delivering support, implementing customer service standards, and appropriate response time expectations for all field and business partners.
  • Supports Business Operations field teams with day to day operations to align with the business strategy. Support includes triaging site issues to determine impact and builds/directs solutions.
  • Creates strategic relationships with regional leaders to understand the business, goals, and goal conflicts within each region.
  • Monitors, tracks, and builds reporting to derive business solutions for field implementation to drive strategic goals for the sales and marketing operations.
  • Implements strategies across various sites and audiences to drive Regional excellence.
  • Maintains and publishes operating standards.
  • Manages all Business Operations communications accurately and timely.
  • Field and corporate business partners are communicated to ahead of time and all appropriate stakeholders are engaged in field communications.
  • Responsible for ensuring quality communication with our external vendors. Communicate all process updates, investigate inquiries, and maintain scheduled communication.

Identification, Development and Execution of Strategies that Impact our Strategic Intents

  • Leads the development of strategies by supporting various business partners, building system requirements, UAT facilitation, training development and aligning the program to strategic goals.
  • Leads system integrity review, end user impact, and process execution with a focus on eliminating non value added work streams, eliminating risk and optimizing processes.
  • Identifies impacted field partners, designs communication and training based on taking into consideration any regionally specific business impacts.
  • Identification of opportunities between multiple processes or groups that can drive business benefits. Provides analysis and proposals to the Director of Business Operations regarding opportunities to streamline operational processes and reduce risk.
  • Leverages business partners to gain understanding of current state processes and the impact of proposed changes.
  • Facilitates robust and accessible training to field partners.

Program/Process Implementation

  • Leads programs through implementation across multiple sites including field communication, training, and overall support.
  • Maintains process expertise and involvement post deployment by continuing to monitor progress, review feedback, and identify impacted metrics across sales and marketing.
  • Builds reporting and communication to leaders including, but not limited to: current trends, projections, best practices, next steps, and measures of success.

Process Improvement

  • Identifies areas across Sales, Marketing, and Operations to standardize processes.
  • Builds action plans to target area of opportunity including impact analysis and communication strategies.
  • Maintains and facilitates SOPs and training for all field partners.
  • Identifies strategies for regional teams to eliminate non value added work streams and works to influence adoption of strategies. Maintains reporting or tracking on impact and scalability.

Minimum Requirements and Qualifications

Education:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field

Knowledge and skills

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Strong motivation to learn, willingness to be a team player, yet operate independently as required while exercising discretion and independent judgment.
  • Demonstrated organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead projects and coordination of resources in multiple departments.
  • Demonstrated ability to work well under pressure.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to execute timely and effective communication.
  • Demonstrates excellent critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent customer service and training experience.
  • Strong networking skills to build appropriate relationships.
  • Ability to derive solutions from data sources including the ability to analyze multiple sets of data.
  • Ability to derive operations solutions from process analysis.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment that is continually changing.
  • Ability to interact with various business partners at all levels in the organization.
  • Ability to travel.

Technical Skills

  • Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.

Job experience

  • Minimum of three (3) years of project management or strategic planning experience
  • Demonstrated experience in managing projects.
  • Experience with sales or customer service.
  • Experience building and analyzing reporting.
  • Demonstrated experience creating successful communication to large audiences.
  • Specific knowledge of company products, sales and marketing processes, and field support preferred.
