Summary:

The Finance Manager is responsible for leading a team who facilitates cash flow by contributing to the processing of approximately 714,000 automated and manual customer payments a month. Additionally, they lead servicing operations, check processing and chargebacks, treasury management, account management, and maintains monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting and analysis and the managing of projects within the Account Servicing Operations (ASO) Department. The Finance Manager achieves operational objectives by contributing information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews, preparing and completing action plans, implementing production, productivity, quality, customer-service standards, resolving problems, completing audits, identifying trends, determining system improvements, and implementing change. This Finance manager will oversee high volume payment transactional processes, balancing and reconciliation processes, escrow processes, high-risk processes, as well as the production of reporting for internal customers. 

This individual will also lead a team and will be responsible for providing coaching, training, mentoring and career development planning and opportunities for all employees.  This position is highly visible and requires a strong leader with the ability to prioritize, plan, and direct the department accomplishments. They are responsible for the execution of multiple processes for CWP, WorldMark, Shell and Fixed Weeks; as well as serving an owner base of 1.2M owners.

Responsibilities:

  • Leads a team of individuals responsible for checks and chargebacks through guidance and coaching focused on quality work as well as employee growth and development.  Ensures that each team member receives consistent feedback that allows them to correct and/or improve performance and behaviors.

  • Maintains departmental standards by contributing information and recommendations to strategic plans and implementing production, productivity, quality, customer-service standards, including operational reporting and analytics, strategically manages bank activity including the life cycle for all Wyndham Consumer Finance entities, analyzing, forecasting financial information, maintaining relationships with financial institutions, supporting vendor relationships and partnering with Wyndham Destinations Corporate Treasury.

  • Maintains quality service by executing on organization standards, maintaining dashboards as well as removing barriers in alignment with the budget.

  • Establish and maintain strong lines of communication and key working relationships with internal partners; act as an escalation and expert knowledge resource to obtain or clarify billing information. 

  • Accomplishes department and organization mission by completing related requests as needed.     

  • Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential in accordance with WVO PCI and PII guidelines.

  • Updates job knowledge and skills by participating in educational opportunities.


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor Degree in Accounting/Finance/Treasury/Business management preferred or 4-6 years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • 4-6 years financial related leadership experience; inclusive of Finance/Accounting/Treasury processes, Financial reporting and analysis, Performance Management, Project Management, and Developing Budgets

  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and web based programs

  • Ability to create and maintain operational reporting for the department

  • Excellent strategic, analytical and creative thinking aptitude in both an independent and team environment

  • Working knowledge of financial analysis

  • Must be a self-starter with the ability to work independently, be well organized, perform under fast-paced environment and communicative effectively

  • Advanced knowledge of Treasury functions

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to identify and execute solutions to meet changing business needs

  • Excellent analytical skills and problem-solving skills

  • Detailed, accurate, and thorough with an ability to execute deliverables effectively

  • Ability to adapt to changes and a demanding work environment

  • Advanced time management and organizational skills; ability to meet or exceed deadlines
